About Me

Welcome to Prescott Dog Care Services! My name is Naomi Prescott and I started my own dog care company in the Spring of 2022 providing dog walking, vacation care and training. I am a compassionate dog lover with years of experience in dog handling from having my own dogs growing up, volunteering at a local shelter, working as an Veterinarian Assistant, and being a dog walker on the busy streets of Chicago. I focus on building better relationships with our dogs, bringing more understanding of how dogs learn and how to meet their needs better.

Some of my most influential resources are Patricia McConnell’s, The Other End of the Leash, and For the Love of a Dog, Kim Brophy’s, Meet Your Dog, Karen Pryor’s Don’t Shoot The Dog and Canine Enrichment for the Real World by Emily Strong and Ali Bender. Podcasts by Hannah Brannigan and Michael Shikashio have been wonderful resources of information as well from professionals all around the world in the dog behavior world.
